Kenosha Expo this weekend; come visit KenoWi staff!

Pick up a bag to carry your swag and head out to 2011 Kenosha Area Chamber of Commerce Expo this weekend.

This year’s event will be held at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 19 and Sunday, Feb. 20 in the Frank J. Petretti Fieldhouse.

What is the Expo? A great way to have fun and see what local businesses and organizations in Kenosha are doing. It also will be a great way to learn more about KenoWi or suggest what you’d like to see on the site when you stop by our booth (#710, across from the pinewood derby display).

Here’s how the chamber website describes the event:

The 2011 Kenosha Area Chamber of Commerce Expo is a family-friendly, fun and informative opportunity to meet the many businesses and organizations that make the Kenosha Area Chamber of Commerce such a strong association. This community event will showcase many businesses and organizations, many with products and services for purchase on site. This year we have incorporated the Kenosha Community Health Fair into the Expo featuring health screenings and so much more! … The Expo also features the Great Kenosha Raffle – your chance to support the 2011 Scholarship Fund and win great prizes!

Parking will be available in the two locations: on site in the southern parking lot near the entrance of the Sports and Activity Center along Highway JR and in the Communications Arts Building parking lot just north of the Sports and Activity Center on Outer Loop Road.  Look for parking signs along Highway E, Highway JR, and Outer Loop Road to direct you to the parking areas. A Transportation Tent is conveniently located in the Communication Arts Building parking lot for those taking the shuttle to the entrance of the Expo.  As the day progresses, parking in the southern parking lot will become full and you will be required to park in the northern parking lot.

Admission is $2 for those 18 and older. Under 18 are free.
