Barca blasts Assembly quickie GOP vote on budget repair
The Republican majority in the state Assembly called an end to debate on the governor’s budget repair bill today and then proceeded to pass it.
State Rep. Peter Barca, the Assembly minority leader who represents a north side Kenosha district, blasted the move as “contempt … toward democracy.”

Wisconsin legislators have been clashing for two week over the bill, which among its provisions includes reducing collective bargaining rights for public employees.
