At 12:05 p.m., several Sheriff’s Department squads are responding to a request from the Mt. Pleasant Police for assistance with a traffic stop in the 400 block of Sheridan Road, Somers, where the police have a car pulled over at gunpoint, dispatch reports.

UPDATE 12:07 p.m. — First deputy on scene reports that Mt. Pleasant Police offices have situation under control. Other deputies continuing to scene to handle traffic control.
