District Scout fishing derby coming up in June

Gateway District Cub Scout Fishing Derby will be held Saturday, June 4, from 8 a.m. to noon at Anderson Pond off of 22nd Avenue on the Southside of Kenosha.

Deadline for pre-registration at $6 is May 27. Walk in fee is $10 and not guaranteed a door prize ticket.

If you are registering your entire unit, you still need to provide the names of each Scout.

Cost includes: lunch (hot dog, chips, and soda; additional food will be available for purchase at the hot dog stand for family, friends and guests), official derby fishing lure and a ticket for door prize.

Only pre registered Scouts are guaranteed to receive their participation lure on the day of the derby.

Trophies will be awared for the 10 longest fish (tape measured). One additional trophy will be awarded to the Pack who brings in the most participants (only registered Cub Scout count). Door prizes will be awarded throughout the day and you must be present to win.

No fishing license is required for adult participants.

Please pre register and pre pay for Scouts online at www.sewisbsa.com. Do not call the council office to register. If you do not have internet then call Robin and she will get you registered. You will need to include the names of each Scout you register so their name can be included on the fishing derby leader board.
