Man killed in crash in Pleasant Prairie
One man was killed and another injured in an early Sunday morning crash in Pleasant Prairie along Old Green Bay Road.
Police originally responded to a report of a wire down at about 1:30 a.m., but then found the heavily damaged vehicle in a grassy area between Green Bay Road and Old Green Bay Road. One victim was apparently thrown from the vehicle. The other had to be freed from the vehicle.
UPDATE 12:38 p.m. — The Pleasant Prairie Police issued the following statement regarding this crash (photos also after the jump):
A Kenosha man is dead, the result of injuries sustained in a single vehicle rollover accident early Sunday morning in Pleasant Prairie. At 1:24 a.m., Pleasant Prairie Police and Fire & Rescue personnel responded to the accident scene in the 9900 block of Old Green Bay Road. The victim, identified as a 29-year old Kenosha resident, was driving a 2005 Chrysler traveling south when he failed to negotiate a curve in the road. There was one passenger in the vehicle, a 29-year old Pleasant Prairie man, who sustained non-life threatening injuries. Rescue personnel transported the passenger to St. Catherine’s Hospital. Accident Investigators from the Pleasant Prairie Police Department remained on scene for several hours. The cause of the accident remains under investigation…
