Police Department gives notice of sex offender release

The Pleasant Prairie Police Department is making notification of the release of convicted sex offender Bobby D. Coleman into the village.

Coleman will be moved to a residence in the area of the 12100 block of 120th Court in Pleasant Prairie on Monday, June 20,  after being released from prison on June 7, 2011.

His related offenses include Second Degree Sexual Assault of a Child (1991), Fourth Degree Sexual Assault and Battery (2005). The sexual assaults included force. Coleman has been convicted of assaulting teen and adult female acquaintances.

Coleman will be a lifetime registrant of the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registration Program and will be electronically monitored. Coleman is to have no contact with his victims; he is to have no unsupervised contact with anyone under the age of 18; he is not allowed to visit taverns, bars or liquor stores and is not to consume alcohol or drugs. offender rules from his parole agent. If Coleman violates his conditions he will be apprehended, and violations will be investigated immediately.

“This notification is not intended to increase fear; rather, it is our intention to inform the public of this offender’s release,” the Police Department bulletin says.

Coleman is not wanted by police at this time.
