Severe thunderstorm warning issued; units responding to damage
At about 8:05 p.m., the National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Kenosha County.
The warning is in effect until 8:30 p.m.
UPDATE 8:15 p.m. — Multiple reports of trees down on the northside of Kenosha and in Somers including: Green Bay Road and Highway A, 14th Avenue and 56th Street, and the 400 block of Sheridan Road.
UPDATE 8:26 p.m. — Somers Fire and Rescue responding to a report of a pole on fire at Sheridan Road and Eighth Avenue.
UPDATE 8:29 p.m. — Tree blocking road at 75th Street and 12th Avenue. Tree completely blocking road in the 1800 block of 30th Street.
UPDATE 8:34 p.m. — Large tree down at 73rd Street and 7th Avenue.
UPDATE 8:35 p.m. — Bristol Fire and Rescue being called as mutual aid to a scene at 3114 43rd St.
UPDATE 8:44 p.m. — Quote from police officer via scanner: “This Allendale area is just destroyed.”
UPDATE 8:45 p.m. — Reports of trees down across the Metra line railroad tracks.
UPDATE 8:47 p.m. — Tree and transformer down on Hansen-Lendman Funeral Home. No fire.
UPDATE 8:48 p.m. — KenoWi.com contributor Mike Gordon advises that Third Avenue between 60th Street and 75th Street has many very large trees down.
UPDATE about 8:49 — Report of possible broken gas line at 8000 Sheridan Road.
UPDATE 8:55 p.m. — Line with live wires down at 75th Street and 12th Avenue.

UPDATE 9:37 p.m. — Firefighters responding to report of trees on fire at a store in the 2000 block of 22nd Avenue.
UPDATE 9:40 p.m. – Firefighters responding to a report of a tree that went down in back of house in 1300 block of 56th Street. Tree landed on a motorcycle that is now leaking fuel.
UPDATE 9:53 p.m. — An emergency medical unit is responding to the 1000 block of 57th Street for a report of a man who may have been electrocuted.
UPDATE 9:56 p.m. — Police responding to a report of a man shot in the 5000 block of 32nd Avenue.
UPDATE 9:58 p.m. — WGN meteorologist Tom Skilling reporting via Facebook 75 mph winds in Kenosha.
UPDATE 10 p.m. — In the 7700 block of 34th Avenue, active fire reported in tree.

UPDATE 10:09 p.m. — Report of live wire in roadway in the 7400 block of 20th Avenue.
UPDATE 10:13 p.m. — Power lines laying on van at business in the 8400 block of Sheridan Road.
UPDATE 10:14 p.m. — Wire down in the 600 block of 68th Place.
UPDATE 10:15 p.m. — Live wire across street in 7400 block of 20th Avenue.
UPDATE 10:17 p.m. — Report of tree on fire near garage in the 4500 block of 23rd Avenue.

UPDATE 10:24 p.m. — Witness that was driving out west from Carthage College at about 9:45 p.m. reported numerous branches down along Sheridan Road. Complete power outage on 52nd Street from a little west of Sheridan to almost Green Bay Road including buildings, street lights and traffic signals.
