Country Inn and Suites special needs Halloween event coverage

The Country Inn and Suites in Kenosha, just west of I-94, hosted Halloween a party and indoor trick-or-treat for adults and children with special needs on Oct. 27 at the hotel.

The event was a Halloween celebration for those with special needs and their families. Participants dressed up in their favorite costumes and then trick-or-treated in a safe, accessible environment on the first floor of the hotel. Area businesses and organizations (including westofthei.com) sponsored rooms and provided fun stations for the trick-or-treaters. Food was also served for those participating.

This is the fourth year for the event at the Country Inn & Suites, Kenosha. Because of the success of the Kenosha event, “another Country Inn & Suites in suburban Milwaukee decided to host a similar event this year,” Jennifer Dodd, director of sales at the Kenosha location, said.

I just wanted to write a note to thank everyone who was involved in putting this event together. We attended the event for the first time last night. I admit before coming I thought it would be somewhat of a drag. The halloween party was anything but a drag! Everyone involved was so loving and made sure each child felt special. The format was top notch. Thank you for taking some time out of your lives to bring a smile on the faces of kids who desperately need love and support. It’s another example of why Kenosha is a great place to raise a family. Happy Halloween and thank you!
