Pleasant Prairie Police announce release of two sex offenders into village
The Pleasant Prairie Police Department is making notification of the release of two convicted sex offenders — Dennis M. Knippe and Michael L. Romack – into the village.
Knippel was moved to a residence in the 11200 block of Old Green Bay Road in the Village of Pleasant Prairie on Nov. 15, after being released from prison on the same date. His related offenses include First Degree Sexual Assault of a Child (1993) and Second Degree Sexual Assault of a Child (1993). Victims include teen and preteen male and female acquaintances. Knippel will be a lifetime registrant of the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registration Program and will be electronically monitored. Knippel is to have no contact with his victims; he is to have no unsupervised contact with anyone under the age of 18; he is not allowed to visit taverns, bars or liquor stores and is not to consume alcohol or drugs. Knippel is required to register face-to-face with local law enforcement and to comply with standard sex offender rules from his parole agent. If Knippel violates his conditions he will be apprehended, and violations will be investigated immediately. More information is available here.
Romack will be moved to a residence in the 12100 block of 120th Court in the Village of Pleasant Prairie on Nov. 29, after being released from prison on the same date. His related offense includes First Degree Sexual Assault of a Child (1990). His victim was a preteen male acquaintance. Romack will be a lifetime registrant of the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registration Program and will be electronically monitored. Romack is to have no contact with his victims; he is to have no unsupervised contact with anyone under the age of 18; he is not allowed to visit taverns, bars or liquor stores and is not to consume alcohol or drugs.
