Pleasant Prairie police report on St. Patrick Day’s enforcement
The Pleasant Prairie Police released the following statement regarding St. Patrick Day traffic enforcement:
Pleasant Prairie Police received grant funds from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation – Bureau of Transportation Safety to provide additional traffic enforcement over the St. Patrick’s Day weekend to combat impaired driving. Officers arrested 5 drivers for intoxicated driving related offenses between Friday, March 16 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, March 18 at 7 a.m. During the enhanced enforcement period, officers also: issued 6 underage alcohol citations, made 2 warrant apprehensions and issued 31 miscellaneous traffic citations. Pleasant Prairie Police strongly encourage drivers to act responsibly and make the decision to not drive when impaired.”
