Drug and gang crimes units make heroin/marijuana arrest after chase
The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department released the following statement about a drug related arrest on Thursday, March 29:
On 3/29/12 members of KDOG with the assistance of the Kenosha Police Dept Gang Crimes Unit conducted a controlled buy of heroin from a 44-year-old male suspect. At the completion of the buy, the Gang Crimes Unit stopped the man in the 5100 block of 38th Ave. After initially stopping for officers, the man fled northbound at a high rate of speed. A pursuit was initiated and ended at 4807 40th Ave. where the suspect pulled into the driveway, struck a wooden fence, bailed out of the vehicle while it was still in motion, and fled on foot. The vehicle continued on striking a two car detached garage for the residence.The man was located hiding under a wooden pool deck behind 4801 40th Ave .and was taken into custody. The suspect is currently held at PSB-Jail on charges of: 1 count Fleeing an Officer (felony), 2 counts of delivery of heroin, and 1 count of Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana. The investigation resulted in the seizure of 19.6 grams of heroin, 31.6 grams of marijuana, approximately $2,700 of US-Currency, and a vehicle.”
