Kenosha County Youth As Resources grant deadline is April 11

Looking for money for your next community service or service learning project? Kenosha County Youth As Resources (YAR), a program dedicated to youth empowerment, is seeking youth-led groups to apply for grant funds of up to $500 for their next service project.

A simple two-page application form and a short presentation to YAR board members are all that are required to qualify for grant funds. The next grant deadline is Wednesday, April 11, 2012. Presentations for grant applicants will be held on Tuesday, April 17, at 5 p.m., at the Kenosha County Administration Building.

Only groups who have submitted a grant application will be able to present their project. This is the final granting cycle until Fall.

Applications and details about YAR and YAR grants are available at the UW-Extension Office in the Kenosha County Center, 19600 – 75th Street, in Bristol, or at the Youth As Resources website: www.kenoshacountyyar.org.

Kenosha County YAR is a program of Kenosha County University of Wisconsin-Extension in partnership with the United Way of Kenosha County. For more information, please contact Kenosha County YAR at (262) 857-1945, or email at [email protected].
