At tonight’s KUSD organizational meeting, three KUSD board members were sworn in.

Carl Bryan

Election of officers then took place.  The following are the board members and their elected offices:

Board President:  Mary Snyder

Board Vice President:  David Gallo

Board Treasurer:  Carl Bryan

Board Clerk:  Jo Ann Taube

Board Secretary:  Stacy Busby

The board then selected the time and place of their regular meetings:  the 4th Tuesday of the month, in the Board Room at the Educational Support Center (unchanged).

The board also unanimously approved the schedule of authorized public depositories:  Johnson Bank, U.S. Bank, Wisconsin Investment Series Cooperative, State of Wisconsin Local Government Investment Pool, and PMA Securities, Inc.

They also unanimously approved the following legal service firms to meet the legal requirements of the day-to-day operation of the school district:  Buelow, Vetter, Buikema, Olson & Vliet, LLC, Foley & Lardner, LLP, Lindner & Marsack, S. C., Quarles & Brady, LLP, and von Brisen & Roper, S.C.  The district’s insurance provider, Community Insurance Corporation/Aegis, may contract out with different legal firms to administer various workers’ compensation claim and liability issues.  Administratration may also request school board approval of specialized legal service firms for a limited term when deemed in the best interest of the school district.

A voting order draw was then taken, and administration’s recommendation on check signatures was accepted.
