It’s raining umbrellas!

A community and alumni celebration was held at the Rita Tallent Picken Regional Center for Arts and Humanities Building on Saturday afternoon, on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.  Parkside invited diverse members of the community to “shower us with their creativity.”  The Shower of Creativity includes artists of all ages who engage their talents for an exhibit that spotlights the Rita as an umbrella organization for the arts and humanities in our region.  Individuals and teams used their imagination to turn white umbrellas into works of art, all displayed in the Rita and Main Place on the campus.

Visitors were given small binoculars in order to view the pieces more closely.  They were also given ballots on which to vote for three of their favorite pieces.  There were 76 in all.
