Pleasant Prairie PD announces release of sex offender
The Pleasant Prairie Police Department is making notification of the release of convicted sex offender James L. Pelotte into the village.
Pelotte was to be moved to a residence in the 11200 block of Old Green Bay Road in Pleasant Prairie after being released from prison on May 19, 2012.
His related offenses include Second
Degree Sexual Assault (repeater) and Sexual Battery. Victims include adult female acquaintances and strangers. Assaults included the use of force.
Pelotte will be a lifetime registrant of the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registration Program and will be electronically monitored. Pelotte is to have no contact with his victims; he is to
have no unsupervised contact with anyone under the age of 18; he is not allowed to visit taverns, bars or liquor stores and is not to consume alcohol or drugs. Pelotte is required to register face-to-face with local law enforcement and to comply with standard sex offender rules from his parole agent. If Pelotte violates his conditions he will be apprehended, and violations will be investigated immediately.
“This notification is not intended to increase fear; rather, it is our intention to inform the public of this offender’s release,” the Police Department bulletin says.
