Kenosha Joint Services Dispatch is reporting a wide spread power outage on Kenosha’s north side and in Somers as of about 1:20 p.m.

Some Kenosha Fire Department units were dispatched to a downed wire that was catching grass on fire, which may be related. Wire was near the Gateway Technical College Campus. No info on We Energies outage map yet.

UPDATE 1:32 p.m. — We Energies outage map now says over 3,700 customers affected. Cause under investigation.

UPDATE 1:54 p.m. — Cause now listed as We Energies equipment problem.

UPDATE 2:01 p.m. — We Energies now reporting large outage ended. Three small less than 5 customers a piece outages remain.
