The Kenosha Relay for Life took place Friday, Aug. 3 at UW-Parkside.

The event is a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society and has grown to be one of the largest fundraising events held in the Kenosha area.

Organizers said they had raised $283,142 as of the end of the event. They hope to continue to take in enough contributions to reach the goal of $345,000 by Aug. 31.
