Sheriff’s Department investigating body found in Somers cemetery
The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the circumstances surrounding a woman’s body found in a Somers cemetery today.
From a statement issued by department spokesman Sgt. Bill Beth:
At approximately 0950 hours this morning, Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department Deputies responded to the Bnai-Zedek Cemetery at 1760 Sheridan Road, in the town of Somers, in Kenosha County. The body of an adult female was found in the cemetery by an on-duty Kenosha Police Officer who was passing by the cemetery. The nature of the woman’s death does appear to be suspicious. Kenosha County Sheriff’s Detectives are processing the area for evidence and working to verify the identity of the woman. As details of the investigation are able to be released, updates will be made available.
