Parks Commission meeting to review Southport Park
At Monday’s Parks Commissioners meeting, the Southport Park will face city review. The Parks Commission will give their recommendation on a request to order a master plan study of Southport Park by SAA Design Group, estimated to cost $30,000. The meeting takes place at 5 p.m. in the Municipal Building, 625 – 52nd Street.
Southport Park is located at 7501 Second Avenue. The 29-acre park contains one sandlot diamond and one soccer field, a playground, hiking and bike trails, a community center for rent, a picnic shelter, and a beach area.
