Units responding to crash in Pleasant Prairie
At about 9:35 a.m., Pleasant Prairie Fire and Rescue units and village police officers are responding to a report of a crash at Highways 50 and H, in Pleasant Prairie.
Crash involves a motorcycle and another vehicle, dispatch reports.
UPDATE 9:36 a.m. — Three Pleasant Prairie Police officers on scene looking for help controlling traffic. Eastbound Highway 50 being blocked west of the intersection. Left turn lane from Highway 50 onto H to be blocked as well.
UPDATE 2:37 p.m. — Pleasant Prairie Police have released the following statement about this crash:
On Saturday morning, September 08, at 9:30a.m., Pleasant Prairie Police along with Pleasant Prairie Fire & Rescue were called to the scene of an accident involving one vehicle and a motorcycle at the intersection of 75 th St. and 88 th Ave. Upon arrival, officers found that a white 2002 Chevrolet four door passenger car traveling north on 88 th Ave. attempting to turn left onto 75 th St. and a 2008 Harley Davidson traveling south on 88 th Ave. collided in the intersection. The male operator of the motorcycle was transported by Pleasant Prairie Rescue to St. Catherine’s Hospital and flown from St. Catherine’s to Froedoert Hospital by Flight for Life. The operator of the passenger car and two female passengers were uninjured. An investigation of this accident is underway by Pleasant Prairie Police Department Accident Investigators. …”
