EcoFair to be held on Saturday
The Kenosha Public Museum and Gateway Technical College are holding an EcoFair from 11 am to 3 pm on Saturday, October 20th, at the Kenosha Public Museum.
Learn to live more sustainably, reduce your carbon footprint and save valuable natural resources. Find out about alternative energy for your home, more fuel-efficient cars, “green” building supplies, urban farming, recycling, composting and rain gardens.
At 1 pm, Root-Pike Watershed Initiative Network will present, “Greener Yards, Cleaner Waters,” explaining how to reduce run-off pollution from rain and snow-ice melt in your yard.
The first twenty-five families to attend the fair will receive a reusable “The Lorax” tote bag, and all attendees can register to win a copy of “The Lorax” DVD.
While at the museum, remember to visit the interactive exhibit, “Sustainable Shelter: Dwelling Within the Forces of Nature,” on the second floor, in the West Gallery.
The EcoFair, presentation, and exhibit are free and open to the public.
