Volunteer opportunities at the museums
The Kenosha Public Museums are offering opportunities for highly motivated, energetic individuals interested in volunteering at the Kenosha Public Museum, Civil War Museum, and Dinosaur Discovery Museum as interpreter/tour guides and outreach volunteers.
Interpreters guide school field trip groups, youth and college groups, senior civic groups and non-profit organizations through the museums during the week or on weekends. Outreach volunteers also provide educational programs designed to bring the museum experience directly into area classrooms.
Museum volunteers have the opportunity to learn more about the Midwest and the Civil War era, natural history and art, and the link between birds and meat-eating dinosaurs, while meeting new people and serving the community.
If you are interested in becoming a museum tour guide/outreach volunteer, please contact Carolyn Wheeler at (262) 653-4139, or visit: www.kenoshapublicmuseum.org, and click on the volunteer link for an application.
