At about 9:25 p.m., Somers Fire and Rescue units are responding to a report of a fire in the 1900 block of First Street, in Somers.

Dispatch says a caller reported the fire as appearing to be a barn, which is not near any other buildings.

UPDATE 9:33 p.m. — First unit on scene reports light smoke and some flames.

UPDATE 9:34 p.m. — Additional fire personnel being requested.

UPDATE 9:35 p.m. — Deputy on scene reports that no structure is on fire. A pile of material is burning.
