West Jacobs shared some photos of the brave souls who took a swim in Lake Michigan off Simmons Island on New Year’s Day.

For many of these hardy folks, this is an annual tradition.

West said the water temp was a relatively balmy 31 degrees, but the air temp was just 14 degrees. Net result? COLD!
